Westmorland and Furness Council has a legal duty to help and assist homeless people. They help with emergency accommodation, housing benefit, manage the lists for housing and have a wide range of support services. Link here: Westmorland and Furness Council.  

Shelter is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. They provide advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good. Link here: Shelter

Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service is the leading homeless charity in the region, helping people find accommodation and learn the life skills essential for independent living and provide help and support to engage with the job market. Link here: Lancaster Housing
