Become a friend

It always surprises people that Kendal has problems with homelessness, but this town is no different from any other in the UK. Most of our clients find themselves in situations beyond their control and genuinely need someone to listen, help and care.

Manna House staff and volunteers provide so many services – hot meals, benefits advice, social support, Wednesday Workshops, listening, help with job hunting and cv writing, cooking skills, laundry and shower facilities – and each of these costs money to maintain and achieve the high standards to which Manna House holds itself. There is a lot to be done, and that is why we need your help!

Becoming a Friend of Manna House

To become a Member you pay a nominal subscription of £10 (mininum) a year. We have get-togethers at regular intervals with refreshments. This provides the opportunity to meet other members and to exchange more fundraising ideas. We also have an AGM.

Involvement with FOMS is rewarding and a lot of fun. We now have beautiful badges (for £3 each) which we hope you will be willing to wear with pride as conversation starter about the work of Manna House and the opportunity to join us and support that work.

Please submit your donation via our secure online portal:
