Skills Café

Our Skills Café is designed to promote health, wellbeing and life skills. Every Wednesday we ask anyone who visits to take part in the 10am Wednesday Workshop or contribute to the Manna House community in some other way – it could be a bit of clearing up, help in the kitchen or maintenance work or just writing something appropriate on the Wall of Appreciation to help lift everyone’s mood.

The day is geared towards anyone who would like to expand their horizons and contribute to their community. We have a programme of different activities to suit most people.

And, after the workshop, anyone who’s taken part can join us for a delicious two-course home-cooked lunch at the Stephenson Centre.

For more information, call 01539 725534 or email us.

Here’s a downloadable copy of our Wednesday workshops programme, so you can see the kinds of things we do.

Super Summer 2019

Please get it touch with Clare on if you think you could lead some sort of activity for us. We’re always looking for new things.

  • Manna history

Manna House was born in April 2002, initially housed on Kirkland, Kendal, and then moving to the Shakespeare Centre later that year. We moved to larger premises at Castle Lodge on Aynam Road in April 2010. In October 2018, we moved to the Stephenson Centre, off Ann Street, near Kendal station.
