Brian Watts

I am a qualified management accountant and worked for many years in the computer industry before moving into the charity sector to find more meaningful use of my skills rather than simply working to make profits.

I am happiest being outside, whether that is working in the garden, walking up a mountain, going for a run or out on a bike ride.

Having holidayed in the Lake District almost every year since leaving university, we finally made to move to Kendal from Buckinghamshire in 2019 to be closer to our family, and I am now grandad to 5 grandchildren, 3 in Lancaster and 2 in Northern Ireland.

I retired at the end of 2024 and enjoy working as a trustee on a number of charities, both locally and nationally.

If you need me I’m likely to be halfway up a mountain with my camera, a cup of coffee and a bar of chocolate!
