NEW SHELTER COORDINATOR STARTS

Believe it or not, we’re already gearing up for winter at Manna House, finding venues and volunteers and making plans for the Winter Shelter which starts on 1 December. And the person trying to coordinate it all this year (after all the great work that Penny and Fiona have done in the past) is our newest member of staff – Lois Sparling – who started at the end of August.

“I’ve been looking for a couple of years for a way to move from my 27-year old career in publishing into the voluntary sector, so I’m really thrilled to have been given the chance to work for Manna House. I’ve been a volunteer in many different ways all my adult life, even while working full-time, in London, Warwickshire and up in Cumbria, and feel that I have met so many lovely people and learned so much. I look forward to meeting the staff, volunteers and clients and continuing that journey.”
