Jimbo & Lorna 2

The garden has been a hive of activity recently, with lots of planting and the unveiling of our client-led Nest sculpture…

The Nest is a client-led outdoor sculpture designed and put together by Manna House clients and volunteers.  It represents the home-like environment of Manna House and the safe nurturing of our hopes dreams (as represented by the gorgeously painted clay eggs!)

The rest of the garden is greening up beautifully as Spring advances, thanks to Margaret Myers who has lovingly cared for the garden for many years, and all of the clients and volunteers who enjoy working in it.

  • Manna history

Manna House was born in April 2002, initially housed on Kirkland, Kendal, and then moving to the Shakespeare Centre later that year. We moved to larger premises at Castle Lodge on Aynam Road in April 2010. In October 2018, we moved to the Stephenson Centre, off Ann Street, near Kendal station.
