The Manna House Garden Party

This year the Manna House Garden Party is moving to Gooseholme – halfway between our current home at Castle Lodge on Aynam Road and our future home at the Stephenson Centre on Ann Street. It’s taking place from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday 14 July, just before the Winter Shelter Fundraising Concert with Roy Bailey. We’re looking to tell people about all the things we do with different stalls and activities, but also raise a little money from selling food, plants, boxes of tea and signed copies of Richard’s just-published book about a life as a keen fisherman in Cumbria and provide refreshments and entertainment (with the Tiny Tea Room, live music, ice cream van and other treats). But we need your help… Please have a look at the list below and see what you can bring to our party!

  • plants for the plant stall
  • a singing/music group to perform for half an hour or so
  • an hour of your time to help set up before 2pm, run a stall between 2pm and 6pm, or pack away at 6pm

Thank you so much for considering and asking around for us. Please get in touch with Penny ( or call Andrea on 01539 725534 as soon as possible to let us know what you would like to offer.

  • Manna history

Manna House was born in April 2002, initially housed on Kirkland, Kendal, and then moving to the Shakespeare Centre later that year. We moved to larger premises at Castle Lodge on Aynam Road in April 2010. In October 2018, we moved to the Stephenson Centre, off Ann Street, near Kendal station.
