Could you be a Manna House Trustee?

Manna House is seeking to strengthen its board of Trustees and also appoint a Trustee to take over the work of our current Chair when he retires in the Autumn of 2018. We are beginning an exciting new period of our work and development as we prepare to move to new premises. In the Stephenson Centre, Manna House will for the first time have its own “home”, customised to ensure we can maintain and develop the type and quality of our services.

Manna House has a professional, confident and empathetic team of staff and volunteers who work with some of the most vulnerable and ‘at risk’ members of the community to locate homes for the homeless, prevent those who are vulnerable from losing their homes and establishing services that enable our users to move on and establish positive stable lifestyles.

Manna House has a strong track record in housing homeless people, and a robust profile for our work amongst the homeless and vulnerably housed in South Lakeland. Our approach is strongly relational and totally holistic, recognising that meeting physical, material, social and spiritual needs are all vital to a healthy lifestyle.

An exciting future lies ahead of us and our goal is to improve our performance to better meet the complex needs of our clients. Our approach is strongly relational and totally holistic, recognising that the spiritual as well as the physical, material and social are all vital to a healthy lifestyle.

Working with our board of trustees will offer a range of opportunities to shape the strategy and the ways in which Manna House offers its unique type of support.

There will be an Open Evening for interested anyone interested in becoming a Manna House Trustee on Monday 9 July from 5pm to 7pm at Castle Lodge.

The deadline for applications is midday on Friday 27 July.
