What a beautiful morning we had for our first Manna House Wednesday Walk last week – bright blue skies and sunshine in the middle of a pretty grey week. We had great fun walking from our front door up to the castle and back through the park (where Alison made herself at home in the big throne sculpture right away!). Thanks to Anna and Sue for leading the walk. Let’s […]
Thank you to volunteer Neil Ralph for all his hard work in planning and leading another successful Christmas Getaway to Rydal Hall youth centre this year. Many congratulations to Nela and the Kitchen Crew (Glenys, Susan, Wendy and Barbara) for an amazing Christmas lunch on the Friday before Christmas – 70 covers were served almost simultaneously, plates heaped with lots of delicious food for vegetarians and for meat-eaters – the result of days of prep and planning in advance and hours and hours of hard work on the day by all the volunteers. Just before the […]

We were delighted to meet some of the children at the school yesterday and pick up a cheque for a massive £780 from the teachers who did it with them – Martin Rogers and Sophie Marshall. They slept out in the school grounds on […]
We had a tree-mendous morning and afternoon this Wednesday decorating our Christmas tree for the annual Parish Church Christmas tree festival. Ours is situated next to Space2Create tree who also chose ‘Up!’ as their favourite film and theme for their decorations. Thanks to everyone who made ours sparkle and shine.

Thank you to our hugely supportive local businesses who are donating all sorts of generous prizes. If you’d like to help us collect those prizes or set up on the day – or […]
