Manna House

"Manna House works for the benefit of the public in South Lakeland, providing advice, advocacy and a drop-in support centre for those who are homeless, vulnerably housed, lonely or needing help."

On Friday Manna House volunteers, Trustees and our Volunteer Coordinator enjoyed a very civilised afternoon at the RHS gardens at Holehird meeting members of the 5 other local voluntary organisations nominated for this year’s Queen’s Awards for Voluntary Service (https://www.gov.uk/queens-award-for-voluntary-service). Our delicious afternoon tea was hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant for Cumbria, Claire Hensman (4th from left). Fingers crossed for all of us. The award winners will be announced on 2 June.
